Girls Golf: Libertyville’s Ou, Sutic are off to solid starts

Camilla Ou is off a flying start.
The Libertyville High School golf followed up a fourth-place finish at the Barrington Invitational with a fifth-place effort in the Libertyville Invitational on Thursday.
Ou shot an 88 at Pine Meadow, which put her in a tie with Vernon Hills’ Lydia Flynn and Carmel’s Jessica Trunzo. Teammate Darinka Sutic was the team’s other standout. She shot an 86 to take runner-up honors in the Libertyville Tournament. Lauren Groody of Vernon Hills was the medalist (85).
The Wildcats shot a 377 as a team on Thursday, which place them third behind Lake Forest (371) and Carmel (375). Vernon Hills was fourth (378). Deerfield (407) and Lake Zurich (430) rounded out the six-team field.
In the Barrington Tournament on Tuesday, Ou recorded a 74. Sutic helped out with an 87 as the Wildcats place eighth out of 16 teams.
