Girls Softball: Libertyville U14 Orange wins tournament
Summer means softball and the Libertyville U14 Orange Team was as hot as the weather! The team won six straight games to win the Mundelein Memorial Day Classc Softball Tournament. The team, led by Karen Stevens, used consistent pitching and strategic hitting to power past the Warren Wave Blue team 12-4 in the championship game.

This travel softball team started the summer in perfect fashion.
The Libertyville U14 Orange squad won six straight games to take first place in the Mundelein Memorial Day Classic.
Libertyville topped the Warren Wave 12-4 in the championship.
The team features Dani Delozier, Ann Marie Fujara, Lizzy Gallup, Marissa Garapolo, Ellen Kenston, Annie Poll, Natalie Quist, Sam Stavropoulos, Jamie Stevens, Rachel Wilcox, Claire Williams and Hillary Verba.
Basketball
Breakthrough Basketball, a national organization dedicated to skills development via high-level coaching and training, will hold a three-day camp for boys and girls ages 12 and up (including college players) at Libertyville Sports Complex.
Taught by NBA development expert Don Kelbick — who has more that 35 years of basketball coaching experience at the high school, college and professional levels — the camp will be held from 6-9 p.m. June 15, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 16, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 17.
The camp is limited to 60 players, and is open to coaches for observational purposes. Cost of the camp is $225 for players, and $97 for coach observers.
