Miller Park is known as a hitters park.

So the Libertyville High School baseball team fit right in, when it scored in double figures in Thursday’s game against Milwaukee Riverside.

With the Brewers playing at Wrigley, the Wildcats came out with the heavy lumber in a 10-9 victory.

The Cats finished the game with five extra basehits.

Kevin McQuillen, Evan Skoug, Darwin Townsend and Matt Vogt rapped doubles, while Anthony Mack had a triple.

McQuillen, a senior right-hander, earned the W.

Meanwhile, in league action last week, the Wildcats (9-3 after the trip to Milwaukee) swept Zion-Benton.

On April 11, Libertyville cruised to a 15-7 win over the host Zee-Bees. Mack, who has become Mr. Triple, had a big day. He drove in three runs with two triples.

Justin Guarnaccio and Skoug also had two hits each.

Skoug (2 doubles) drove in two runs as did Vogt and PJ Newmann.

Townsend, Vic Scarpone, Kevin Calamari and Nate Cote also knocked in runs.

Jason Buss started and earned the win with four innings of work. He allowed only two hits. Dereck Ioos pitched the final two innings.

A day earlier, the Wildcats claimed a 8-1 victory over visiting Zion-Benton.

Kyle Cibrario (5.1) and Michael Rogers (1.2) combined on a 1-hitter.

Nick Coutre and Newmann had two doubles apiece. Vogt had a pair of singles.
