Libertyville Lions Breakfast with Santa a success
Updated: February 27, 2012 8:03AM
The Libertyville Lions Club thanks all of its sponsors and customers for another successful Breakfast with Santa held on Dec. 11.
The 17th Annual event was held at Libertyville High School with almost 500 people served, including 67 children under 6 years old! Tickets were available at the door for the same $6 donation as last year. The wide array of pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee, milk, bagles, doughnuts and pastries makes this a favorite community event. Santa was present for the entire event running from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
Hundreds of photographs were taken and made available to families on either photo paper for a small donation or to be delivered free via email to the families! This continues to be a huge feature contributing to the Breakfast’s success.
Club President Lion Peter Tosto said, “This is possibly the largest Breakfast we have had over the years! He added, “We had tremendous volunteers from many people outside the club,” referencing the LHS National Honor Society Students and others who helped serve food, clean tables, decorate, set up, clean up and more.
