Libertyville fire, police departments go beyond the call of duty

I want to thank the Libertyville Fire Department and Police Department for the professional and compassionate way they helped my daughter handle a delicate situation on Nov. 15.
That evening my daughter went to the fire station to seek their assistance. While explaining the situation to them, the fire chief saw how distraught my daughter was and immediately took control of the situation. He made arrangements with the police station for the officers that would assist. They also handled the necessary transportation that was needed. While doing all this, he guided my daughter with much compassion through every step.
The men that arrived at the house were very professional and sympathetic. There is one policeman that comes to mind. He guided my daughter through the complete process at the house. He gave her the support and encouragement she needed and then stepped in when necessary to help.
These men and the service that they provided for the people of Libertyville go way beyond just being a job. They truly do care. I and my family will be forever grateful!
