Congratulations to Gabe Castillo
By placing third at the Deerfield Shepard Sectional, Gabe Castillo has qualified for the IESA State Finals. Gabe was 3-1 on the day with two wins via pin, including an impressive first period fall in the consolation final match. Gabe is now one of 24 wrestlers still wrestling at his weight class is the State of Illinois. Oak Grove is very proud of the wrestling team and wishes Gabe the best of luck as he competes this weekend for a State Title.
William Engfer to represent school
William Engfer has qualified to represent Oak Grove at the state level of the National Geographic Bee!
The state Bee will be held on March 30 in Glen Ellyn. One winner from each state will advance to the national competition in Washington D.C. on May 22-24. This is the second year in a row that
William has achieved this accomplishment. Good Luck William! All of us at Oak Grove will be cheering you on to victory!.

Grove Gala is a success
Thank you for making the 2012 Grove Gala such a huge success. Thank you to ALL who helped make this event happen. We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you!
District 68 summer programs
Be sure to check the Virtual Backpack for information on Oak Grove’s summer learning opportunities for students K-four. RAZ and Dreambox are on-line programs that students can access anywhere.
Dental requirement deadline
A dental examination is required for all students in kindergarten, second and sixth grades and must be submitted by May 15. The examination must have taken place within the 18 months prior to May 15 of 2012. If you know that you have not yet submitted a completed dental exam form this school year, please do so as soon as possible.
