The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
LIBERTYVILLE
ALCOHOL
Responding to a complaint regarding intoxicated subjects, police located four individuals in the 1200 block of Trinity Place at 11:40 p.m. on July 27. Hutch C. Herchenbach, 18, of 400 Forest Lane, Libertyville, Tyler C. Lees, 18, of 1001 Springhaven Drive, Libertyville, and Adam J. Witucki, 18, of 1205 St. William Drive, Libertyville, and one juvenile were taken into custody. The four were each charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and were released on a notice to appear with their court dates scheduled for Sept. 12.
BURGLARY
A business in the 1800 block of Industrial Drive was burglarized sometime between 5 p.m. July 27 and 7:35 a.m. July 28. The front glass door of the business was shattered and pieces of jagged rock were found inside and outside the door. Two iPads in black folding cases, two Apple iMax computers, a mouse and keyboard, and an HP monitor were stolen. The value of the items totaled $6,500. Police are investigating.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Michael T. Allen, 19, of 38025 N. Academy Drive, Lake Villa, was cited for disorderly conduct on July 28 following a complaint from a motorist that he shouted obscenities and threw something at the motorist’s car. The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. after Allen and the motorist left the Lake County Fairgrounds. He was processed and was released after posting $120 cash bond and was given a court date of Sept. 12 in Mundelein Branch Court.
DUI
Frank B. Sailer, 26, of 5104 Lakeshore Court, Indianapolis, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI (over .08), illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage after he was stopped at approximately 1 a.m. July 22 in the 100 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. He was taken into custody and the vehicle was towed. After processing, he was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date scheduled for Aug. 24.
Kseniya Meinken, 26, of 33448 N. Greentree Road, Wildwood, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI (over .08) and improper lane usage on July 27. She was stopped on West Church Street at approximately 2 a.m. after police observed her swerving within her lane of traffic and crossing over the double yellow dividing lanes of traffic on North Milwaukee Avenue. Failing field sobriety tests, Meinken was arrested and her vehicle was towed. She was processed and later released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond with a pending court date of Aug. 17 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
Jonathan M. Manarick, 23, of 26670 W. Dolores Court, Ingleside, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage on July 27 after he was seen swerving within his lane of traffic and crossing over center lines of traffic. The traffic stop occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Lake Street, just west of Milwaukee Avenue. Failing field sobriety tests, Manarick was taken into custody and his vehicle towed. After processing, he was released after posting his driver’s license and signing a personal recognizance bond. His court date was scheduled for August 17 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
Guillermo Diaz-Moreno, 34, of 607 Shady Lane, Mundelein, was charged with aggravated DUI, DUI, DUI (over. 08), driving while license suspended, speeding and improper lane usage after he was stopped at 3:15 a.m. on July 28 near Butterfield Road and West Park Avenue after police saw him swerving and speeding on West Park Avenue. After failing field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. A records check also revealed that his driver’s license was suspended, and Diaz-Moreno was wanted on an active warrant from Lake County. He was taken into custody and charged with several traffic violations and a felony charge of aggravated DUI. His court date on the Libertyville charges was scheduled for Aug. 7 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan. On the Lake County warrant arrest, Diaz-Moreno was transported to the Lake County jail for bond court the following morning. No further court information was available.
