Libertyville Police Blotter for June 27

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Libertyville

BATTERY

At approximately 9 p.m. on June 17, police were called to the 300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue on a report of 20 people having a verbal argument. Lee A. Ward, 53, of 5207 S. Wolcott Ave., Chicago, was arrested and charged with battery after several witnesses stated he was the aggressor and had struck a young woman in the face. He was taken into custody and processed and was later released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. His court date is scheduled for July 20 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

At 3:30 a.m. on June 24, police officers responded to the Island Tap at 112 East Cook Avenue for a report of a fight in progress. Mario Gonzalez-Leon, 32, of 223 Colony Court, Vernon Hills, was arrested and charged with battery after it was determined by witnesses that he struck another man in the face without provocation. Gonazalez-Leon was processed and later released on a $120 cash bond with a pending July 18 court date in Mundelein Branch Court.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Justin M. Hogan, 36, and Jason S. Raney, 36, both of 619 W. Park Ave., Libertyville, were charged with disorderly conduct after they were found drunk and disorderly at 5 a.m. June 18 in a parking lot in the 600 block of West Park Avenue. A nearby resident had seen them wandering in the parking lot at 2 a.m. and then later saw one of them sleeping in the parking lot. Hogan and Raney were arrested and processed and later released on individual $120 personal recognizance bonds with a July 11 court date in Mundelein Branch Court.

DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED

Roberto Nunez-Solis, 29, of 1606 10th Street, Waukegan, was charged with driving while licensed suspended after he was stopped at 6:30 p.m. June 20 on North Butterfield Road near St. William for not having a front license plate on his vehicle. He was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license and he was arrested and the vehicle towed. He was processed and then released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a July 20 court date in Mundelein Branch Court.

Francisco Arriola, 24, of 523 Greenwood Ave., Waukegan, was arrested for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at approximately 7:15 p.m. June 23 on Route 137 near Milwaukee Avenue. Arriola was taken into custody and the vehicle was towed. He was later released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a pending court date of July 18 in Mundelein Branch Court.

DUI

Samatha L. Reuter, 31, of 320 W. Division St., Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage after she was stopped at approximately 2 a.m. on June 23 by police when she was observed driving outside her lane of traffic on Church Street near Brainerd Avenue. Reuter failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and her vehicle towed. She was later released from custody on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and was given a July 13 court date in the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Christopher K. Campbell, 28, 746 Noel Drive, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper turn signal after he was observed driving on North Milwaukee Avenue near School Street at 3 a.m. on June 23. Campbell drove outside his lane of traffic and failed to signal his turn onto School Street and he was stopped by police. He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and his vehicle was towed. He was processed and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a July 27 court date at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
