Police blotter for week of Nov. 12

The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

Daina Bowser, 44, 2300 Haverton Dr., Mundelein, was charged Tuesday, Oct. 31, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol concentration over .08 percent, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident. She faces a Nov. 30 court date.

Omar Maravillas-Vargas, 28, 820 Perry, Mundelein, was charged Sunday, Nov. 4, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol concentration over .08 percent and not having a valid driver’s license. He faces a Dec. 14 court date.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A vehicle parked at Downing’s Bar, 431 S. Milwaukee Ave., was found damaged on Sunday, Nov. 4. The back window was shattered and the back hatch was dented, The owner said the vehicle was locked and nothing inside appeared to be missing.

THeFT

A resident of the 500 block of South Dymon Road reported on Tuesday, Oct. 31, that a police scanner was taken from his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. The vehicle was unlocked. The scanner’s value was estimated at $100.
