Libertyville welcomes Time editors

LIBERTYVILLE — Cook Memorial Library District will host Libertyville native Jim Frederick and his wife, Charlote Greensit, both editors for Time Magazine, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5.
The duo will appear at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required, Public Relations Coordinaor Gabriella Pantle said in a press release.

Frederick, the international and executive editor, is a nationwide leading authority on military crime, and his book, “Black Hearts: One Platoon’s Descent into Madness in Iraq’s Triangle of Death,” chronicles heinous war crimes committed by one American platoon in Iraq.
Greensit is a special projects editor at Time Inc.’s book division.
She recently edited the book “TIME The Royal Family,” as well as an upcoming guide to the 2012 U.S. presidential elecion.
Between August 2006 and January 2008, Frederick was a senior editor at Time in London. Prior to that, he was Time’s Tokyo Bureau chief for four years, and before joining Time, Frederick was a senior editor with Money magazine in New York.
Greensit is the senior editor at Time Magazine and was responsible for the editorial operations for international editions. A Brit, she was born in Yorkshire and lives in New York City.
The public is invited to hear Frederick and Greensit as they share their experiences. In addition to being professional colleagues, they were married in Libertyville in September 2011.
