Newsmakers: Libertyville’s Cox honored with award

Cox honored with award

Libertyville Realtor De Shaun Cox received the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS (MORe) Community Service Award.

Cox has been active in the Libertyville community for the last decade. She is a long-time member of the Libertyville Days Festival committee and serves as co-chairman. Over the years, Cox has also volunteered hundreds of hours of her time to the Libertyville Civic Center, which works with local social, charitable and civic organizations and provides a gathering space for the community. She was elected to the Libertyville Civic Center’s board of directors two years ago and during the last 16 months has helped to raise more than $60,000 to help with upkeep and improvements.

Cox was nominated by her employer Prudential Rubloff. MORe will donate $1,000 to the Libertyville Civic Center on her behalf.
