Liberytville Police Blotter for July 5

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Libertyville

ALCOHOL

Responding to a report of suspicious persons in the rear parking lot of the Libertyville Fire Department at 1551 North Milwaukee Ave., police located William R. Stock, 19, of 433 Meadow, Libertyville, and John R. Luehrsen, 19, of 312 W. Lincoln Ave., Libertyville. Stock and Luehrsen were found to be intoxicated and were arrested and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were processed and then later released on individual $120 bonds with pending court dates of July 19 in Mundelein Branch Court.

Two people were charged with underage drinking following at traffic stop on June 28. At approximately 1:30 a.m. on June 28, police stopped a vehicle driven by Connor J. Orth., 19, of 113 Mainsail Drive. Third Lake, for speeding on Route 176, just east of Milwaukee Avenue. Two of the underage occupants of the vehicle, Michael C. Kolb, 19, of 923 Mayfair Drive, Libertyville, and Jack F. Butler, 19, of 254 North Trail, Hawthorn Woods, were found to be intoxicated. Both were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Kolb was additionally charged with illegal transportation of alcohol when an open Coke can next to him was found to contain alcohol. Butler was charged with possession of a fraudulent ID when a false ID was found on his person. Kolb and Butler were arrested and processed. They each signed separate $1,500 personal recognizance bonds and were assigned a court date of July 9 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 1, police located Micah R. Strong, 20, of 1677 Cedar Glen Drive, Libertyville, laying in a parking lot in the area of 400 South Milwaukee Avenue, with a bicycle laying next to him. Strong was arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and was also found to be in possession of a fraudulent ID. He was taken to the police department and processed. He was later released on a personal recognizance bond and was given a July 18 court date in Mundelein Branch Court.

BURGLARY TO AUTO

A resident in the 200 block of Hawthorne Road reported on June 25 that sometime during the overnight hours, someone entered their vehicle and removed a wallet from a purse on the driver’s seat. The wallet was described as a brown and tan Gucci wallet containing a driver’s license, student ID, credit cards and $20 in cash. The vehicle was not locked.

A Fox Lake resident reported that at approximately 4:45 p.m. June 26 she filled up her gas tank at a gas station in the 1000 block of East Park Avenue. She went inside the business to pay for the gas, and upon her return, she found that her iPod with the attached wireless transmitter had been removed from the front passenger seat. The iPod and the transmitter were valued at $380.

A resident in the 500 block of Poplar Court reported on June 26 that sometime during the overnight hours, someone entered his vehicle and removed two golf clubs from his golf bag. The two clubs, valued at $500, were described as a Taylor Made white driver and a 3 wood. The vehicle had been parked in the driveway but had been unlocked.

DUI

Diane M. Harvey, 59, of 1615 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI (over .08) and improper lane usage on June 24. At 2:20 a.m., following a report from the Illinois State Police of a drunk driver exiting at Route 137, Libertyville Police stopped Harvey in the 1600 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. Failing field sobriety tests, Harvey was arrested and her vehicle towed. She was processed and later released on a valid driver’s license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. Her court date was scheduled for Aug. 3 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

DRIVING WHILE REVOKED

Enio Salgado, 34, of 247 Longwood Terrace, Mundelein, was charged with driving while license revoked and operating an insured vehicle after he was stopped at 11:30 p.m. on June 28 on Butterfield Road near Golf Road when a records check revealed he was driving with a revoked license. He was arrested and his vehicle towed. He was processed and later released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 8 court date in Mundelein Branch Court.

NO VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE

Maria Del Pech-Uc, 50, of 927 S. Green Bay Road, Waukegan, was charged with no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disregarding a stop sign after she was seen disregarding a stop sign on North Avenue at approximately 4 p.m. June 26. She was found to be driving without a driver’s license and without insurance on the vehicle and she was arrested. She was later released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a pending court date of Aug. 15 in Mundelein Branch Court.
