Newsmakers: Grow With Love boutique wins top honors

Online store Grow With Love Boutique and owner Gail Heraty of Hawthorn Woods has been ranked in StartupNation.com’s 2012 Leading Moms in Business competition, sponsored by Web.com and Sam’s Club.
Over 350,000 votes were cast in support of the 2012 contestants, reflecting immense interest and supportiveness for moms building businesses while tending to their families at the same time.
Muntyan completes basic training
Navy Seaman Recruit Volodymyr A. Muntyan, son of Iryna A. and Michael V. Kern of Mundelein, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes.
During the eight-week program, Muntyan completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.
Muntyan is a 2011 graduate of Mundelein High School.
Associates receive special recognition
Sales associates at RE/MAX Suburban in Libertyville received special recognition from the RE/MAX Northern Illinois region for their sales success in 2011. They have been named to membership in honorary clubs, each recognizing an important level of achievement in sales production.
Diamond Award: Among 89,000 RE/MAX agents worldwide, less than one percent earned entrance to the 2011 Diamond Club. The Diamond Club represents the highest honor RE/MAX bestows for single-year sales performance by an affiliate.

Chairman’s Club: Less than one percent of all RE/MAX agents qualify as 2011 Chairman’s Club members based on their sales achievements. The average productivity of 2011 Chairman’s Club members in northern Illinois was 24 times greater than those of the average NAR sales agent. Receiving this award is Marco Amidei.
100% Club: Those who earn membership in the 100% Club have reached a top level of sales productivity. Reaching this outstanding level of success are Lynn Fairfield, Eric Egeland, Laura Swinden, Sandra Locascio, Joan Meredith, Judy Fornero, Kieron Quane, Elizabeth (Terri) Sponburgh, Alise Luke and Alan Aronow.
Executive: Executive Club membership recognizes a select group of affiliates. Named to Executive Club membership for their 2011 achievements are Mary Ronan, Joan MacDonald, Cynthia Nash-Frye, Tom Gamnes, Nancy Edmunds, Deborah Goldsholl, Dawn Hagy, Judith Scanlan and Chicky Johnson.
Two locals ordained as deacons
Daniel P. Moore and Gerald E. Nora were ordained as permanent deacons on May 25 at Holy Name Cathedral by Francis Cardinal George, OMI, Archbishop of Chicago.
Moore and Nora completed a four-year progrm at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary that included classes in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Spiritual Formation and Communication/Collaboration. They will serve at St. Mary of Vernon Parish.
‘Inspiration’ set at Dancenter North
Ballet and jazz students will have the unique opportunity to be “inspired” by dance masters the first week in June. Dancenter North, located at 540 North Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, will host “Inspiration Week” June 4 through 7.
Ballet Inspiration takes place June 4 and June 6. Instructors for Ballet Inspiration include Jennifer Callaghan and Greg Begley. Ballet Inspiration is $25 per class, or $45 for two classes.
Jazz Inspiration will be taught by Jeff Hancock, Mary-Angela Granberry, Lindsey Jones Lococo, and Nikki Lazzaretto and takes place June 5 and June 7. Cost is $25, or $95 for all four jazz classes. Students also have the option of registering for “total inspiration”, which includes both ballet and all four jazz classes for $135.
