‘Best of the Fest’ to benefit Brainerd
“The Best of the Fest” fund-raiser will be held on Wednesday, April 25 in the Amber Room at Mickey Finn’s Brewery in Libertyville.
The event will include a public tasting of David Reuter’s Lap Dog Robust Porter, which won the home brew competition at last year’s North Shore Wine, Beer, Cigar and Food Festival, and has been brewed by Mickey Finn’s brewmaster Greg Brown for sampling by the public.
Tickets for the fund-raiser are $25 and are available in advance at the Libertyville Civic Center, MainStreet Libertyville, S&S Wine and Spirit Warehouse, Mickey Finn’s, and Wisma and will also be sold at the door.
Proceeds from the event will go toward saving the historic Brainerd Building for use as a community center. For further information on the Save Brainerd project, visit www.savebrainerd.org.
