In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Northbrook Community Nursery School held a Gala Dinner Dance on March 3 at Sunset Ridge Country Club.
Over 100 current and former NCNS families and friends joined in the fun. This special anniversary also brought out former school directors Glenn Dobbs and Micki Somerman, as well as past board presidents and alumni. The event was co-chaired by current NCNS board members Paige Wenk and Terah Bozarth, both of Northbrook.
The Gala was a tremendous success, raising over $30,000 for Northbrook Community Nursery School. All of the funds raised will be used to support the school’s ongoing mission of providing a nurturing environment enabling all children, regardless of their developmental needs, an opportunity to recognize their full potential.
In addition to dinner and dancing, the Gala featured both a live and silent auction. The live auction tempted guests with many spectacular items including a gorgeous diamond necklace, a week stay at a private home in Maine, and a Fourth of July trip to Vail, Colorado. The silent auction offered a variety of items such as restaurant gift cards, sports memorabilia, theater tickets, spa treatments and much, much more.
