On March 13, The Woman’s Board of Winnetka Community House launched its celebration of the highly anticipated Antiques+ Modernism Winnetka show with a private party at JPMorgan Chase in Chicago. Hor’doeuvres and cocktails were served as Committee Members, Sustainers and Members of the Board of Governors from Winnetka Community House viewed the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, one of the oldest and most extensive corporate art collections in the world.

Antiques + Modernism Winnetka commences with a Preview Party featuring a cocktail buffet reception from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 18 at Winnetka Community House. Admission is $125 if purchased in advance and $150 if purchased at the door. Tickets include a three-day pass to the show, which runs throughout the weekend: 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, October 19; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, October 20 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, October 21. Three-day admission is $15 if purchased in advance and $20 if purchased at the door. All proceeds from the Preview Party and event support the programs and services of Winnetka Community House, a non-tax supported organization that is dependent on a broad base of community support for its existence. The Winnetka Community House was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in August, 2007. The Woman’s Board’s mission is to provide financial and volunteer support for this important institution.

The Art Collection includes a variety of mediums that embrace all cultures and time periods making it the perfect setting for Co-Chairman Laura Reynolds to present her vision for this year’s show.

“For over 60 combined years, Winnetka Community House has brought the country’s finest dealers together for its Antique and Modernism Shows and this year will be no exception,” said Reynolds. “Now in its third season as a combined show, we are thrilled to be hosting this one-of-a-kind weekend event that is sure to impress.”

The Winnetka Show will encompass periods of design ranging from the 17th century to the mid 20th century. Esteemed dealers from across the country will showcase fine examples of American, British, French and Asian antiques, as well as pieces from the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Mid-Century design movements. The exhibition and sale will offer furniture, silver, ceramics, jewelry, garden antiques, lighting, rugs, textiles, fine and folk art, architectural artifacts and more. Collectors, designers and hobbyists alike will delight in the extensive inventory of beautiful objects presented for sale at the historic Winnetka Community House.
