1. Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band presents its seventh annual Ensemble Recital from 2-4 p.m. June 24 at the Vernon Area Public Library, 300 Olde Half Day Road, Lincolnshire. 2. Artists on the Bluff will present its annual Festival of the Arts from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 23-24 on the village green in Lake Bluff. Orginal artwork on display and for sale will include paintings, drawings, jewelry, sculpture and pottery. There will also be vendors offering refreshments, live musical entertainment, a children’s tent, and opportunities for visitors to participate in sketching and figure drawing. 3. “Linkin Park One Night Concert Event: Recorded Live in Berlin,” 7:30 p.m. June 25 at local movie theaters, including Lincolnshire 21, 300 Parkway Drive, Lincolnshire; and Gurnee Cinemas 20, 6144 Grand Ave., Gurnee. The Grammy Award-winning alternative rock band band (drummer Rob Bourdon, guitarist Brad Delson, vocalist Mike Shinoda, DJ Joseph Hahn, bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and singer Chester Bennington) performs new songs from its forthcoming album, “Living Things,” as well as its biggest hits. 4. GayCo, a Chicago-based comedy troupe, performs sketch comedy based on gay and lesbian themes in celebration of Pride Month at 8 p.m. June 23 at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 W.
