The award-winning a cappella group Calmus will present a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday April 28 in Bennett Gordon Hall at Ravinia Festival, 516 Roger Williams Ave., Highland Park. Founded in Leipzig in 1999, the Calmus quintet combines a soprano voice with four male voices ranging from bass to countertenor. The group’s latest CD, “Hausmusik,” is a collection of songs by Robert and Clara Schumann and J.S. Bach in a program that could have been heard at a salon concert in the Schumann home. Calmus won first prize and numerous performance prizes at the CAG Competiton, as well as first prizes at the fourth annual Robert Schumann Choral Competition, the International Competition for Vocal Ensembles in Finland and the 37th Tolosa Choral Contest in Spain. Tickets are $10, $5 for and are available at the box office, at ravinia.org, or call (847) 266-5100.
