CLC art students win awards

“Devon & California — Bus Stop,” a tri-tone digital photograph by Kenneth Greenberg of Mundelein, recently won a $500 scholarship from The Lake County Art League. Kelsey Moore of Mundelein won the League’s $500 Phoebe Boyd Scholarship for an untitled oil painting.
Tomiko Ferdman of Libertyville won a $50 Merit Award for a porcelain piece entitled “In Tune with Shino,” and Keiko Johnson of Old Mill Creek won a $50 Merit Award for an oil on canvas entitled “Fifteen.”
The awards were presented at an April 13 reception at the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art on the CLC Grayslake. The winners were selected from a juried exhibit of work by CLC art students which will be on display through May 12 at the gallery.
