1. “Almost, Maine,” April 20-28 in the College of Lake County’s James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. On a clear midwinter night, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the town’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. The Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band will present its 11th annual spring concert, “I’ve Heard that Somewhere Before!”, at 7 p.m. April 21 at the Stevenson High School Performing Arts Center, 1 Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire.
