The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Libertyville police department. Readers are reminded an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

Alexandra M. Hirth, 25, of 1322 Appletree Lane, Libertyville, was charged July 27 with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police say they found Hirth unconscious in her car, which was stopped on the roadway at Fourth Avenue and Rockland Road. Police say they called paramedics, but Hirth declined to be treated. Police said they smelled alcohol on Hirth’s breath and administered a field sobriety test, which she failed. Hirth was scheduled in court Aug. 18.

Marty D. Taylor, 44, of 130 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, was charged Aug. 2 with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police say they spotted Taylor’s car speeding and swerving outside its lane while traveling south on Milwaukee Avenue. Police said they detected signs of impairment and administered a field sobriety test, which Taylor failed. He is scheduled in court Aug. 22.

Nickolas James Irelan, 21, of 40491 N. Goldenrod Lane, Wadsworth, was charged July 30 with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police say they responded to Austin’s Saloon and Eatery, 481 Peterson Road, at 2 a.m. in response to a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, police say they saw a car speed away, and they followed it. Irelan was in that car, which was pulled over a few blocks away. Irelan failed a field sobriety test, police said. He is scheduled in court Sept. 12.

Edwin C. Culicchia, 38, of 614 S. Milwaukee Ave. Apt. B, Libertyville, was charged July 28 with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found Culicchia sitting in a car at 2 a.m. behind Austin Condominiums on East Austin Drive. When police asked Culicchia what he was doing, he had trouble responding, police said, and he failed a field sobriety test. While processing him, police said they found drug paraphernalia in Culicchia’s pocket. He was scheduled in court Aug. 15.

DRUGS

Patrick D. Regan, 22, of 1112 Deborah Circle, Libertyville, was charged July 30 with unlawful possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police say Regan was a passenger in a car that was pulled over at 3:15 a.m. on Appley Avenue near Bartlett Terrace. An officer smelled marijuana and searched the car, finding the marijuana and paraphernalia, police said. Police say Regan admitted the items were his. Regan was scheduled in court Aug. 13.
