Our bodies are made up of about 70 percent water. Doctors recommend that we drink 64 ounces a day. While drinking too little can make you dehydrate, drinking too much can lead to water intoxication.

Water is the closest thing to a universal solvent and can dissolve more substances than any other liquid.

About 75 percent of the earth’s surface is covered with water, the total amount of water on earth is about 326 million cubic miles and the United States uses about 346,000 million gallons of water every day.

According to the national weather service, Lake County is “abnormally dry,” but we are not in in drought conditions. Many local communities have had to impose watering restrictions, but there is still water out there. And it can be fun.
