In 2008, St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church moved from Waukegan to a newly constructed building in Libertyville.
Since then, members of the congregation have been contributing to a fund to add to the number of icons on the walls. They plan to bring iconographers from Greece to cover the insde of the dome with religious paintings.
